Crathes 2008 - 2012   The cataloguing of approximately 9000 flints is now finished.  Data have been passd on to Caroline Wickham- Jones so that she can include our results as a contributrion to the forthcoming publication on the Nether Mills excavation  directed by James B. Kenworthy 1978-1981. As no fieldwalking has taken place under NESARS, this 2008-2012 account has been much reduced.  However, further fieldwalking is still a possibility. H. Sabnis

FETTERNEAR  HILLCROFTS    Survey and Test-Pits      Moyra Simon          NEW PROJECT Although wet weather prevented further survey work with regard to the site of an old croft it is hoped this will continue in 2016. With the aim of establishing the possibility of prehistoric activity in the area, limited test-pit evaluation took place in the garden at Sunnybrae Croft after several flints had been found on the soil surface.   Test- pitting will be continued when weather permits. A summary is on the new Fertternear Hillcrofts page.
NEW WEB PAGES Our new NESARS project, Fetternear Hillcrofts, aiming to survey the site of an old croft now has its own web page.  See below. Continuing the survey etc. at Hillhead, a Tarland 2015 page has been added.
